About Us

Latet is a leading umbrella organization and food bank in Israel. Through 210 local partner NGOS and 40,000 volunteers, we provide ongoing and permanent assistance to more than 100,000 families and 1,700 Holocaust survivors in need.

To be Israeli is to give, for three decades now

For us at Latet, giving means waking up in the morning wanting to make a difference and create social impact, to help people in need both in routine times and in emergencies, in order to create a better future. This belief guides us in our response to any challenge.

The First Israeli Aid Organization

Since its creation in 1996, Latet has been at the forefront of the fight against poverty in Israel. We work to strengthen a culture of mutual responsibility and giving, while building effective, innovative systems for humanitarian aid and encouraging volunteerism across Israeli society.

Creating a Better and More Just Society

Over the years, we’ve grown into a leading organization known for our professionalism, transparency, and commitment to social responsibility. Our work is driven by ongoing learning and research, and made possible by a dedicated team, thousands of volunteers, and hundreds of partners.
